Ticketing Terms and Conditions

1. Tickets for the Liverpool World Gymnastics Championships (WGC2022) are only available from our authorised retailers:

Tickets purchased or sold outside of authorised retailers will not be valid for entry.

2. Subject to availability, ticket purchases are limited to 10 tickets per session, unless booking for a school or group of 10+ for any given session.

Details of your organisation will be required to process your booking. WGC2022 reserve the right to cancel without notification any bookings from customers who have booked more than 10 tickets per session via different retailers.

3. A range of tickets for WGC2022 are available within Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze price categories and all WGC2022 ticket prices are subject to booking and handling fees.

In line with STAR ticketing regulations, all WGC2022 ticketing retailers offer a full breakdown of the fees associated with your ticket purchase before you proceed to finalise the order in order to allow you to make a balanced purchase decision.

The fees associated with each ticket purchase are agreed with our retailers to cover the cost of the services they provide for our customers.

The booking fee is charged per ticket and contributes to the ticketing and distribution processing costs of each ticket retailer; covering the provision of a contact centre, online ticketing and running of the ticketing software and technology solutions (such as scanning you in at the venue).

The handling fee is charged on a per order basis. This fee contributes to the operational costs and overheads associated with ticket fulfilment including ticket stock administration, inventory control, printing, packing and distributing of tickets.

4. Concession tickets are available within Gold, Silver and Bronze price categories for:

  • OAPs aged 65+
  • Children aged 16 or under on the day they are scheduled to attend the event
  • Those in receipt of benefits
  • Students

Proof of eligibility may be requested when attending the event.

5. Hospitality packages are available within two price categories; adults and children. Child prices are available to those aged 14 or under on the date they are scheduled to attend the event. All packages include gold category tickets. Please note that during busier periods, you may be required to share a table or suite with other guests.

6. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Proof of age may be requested when attending the event.

7. Children under two years of age on the date that they attend the event do not require a ticket, providing they do not take up a seat. Proof of age may be requested when attending the event.

8. M&S Bank Arena Liverpool is a fully accessible venue, and if you purchase a ticket and require a companion to accompany you, we are happy to offer them a complimentary ticket. One piece of the following documentation, valid at the time of attending the event, is required for eligibility:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Personal Independence Allowance
  • A certificate of visual impairment
  • Official / Documented evidence that I am registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
  • UK-recognised identification for an assistance dog
  • GP Letter or international equivalent of the above documents

9. Tickets will be distributed to customers in late summer/early autumn 2022. Please always check your tickets as soon as you receive them, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.

10. All tickets are valid for admission to the session detailed on the ticket and the WGC2022 fan zone. Please take good care of your tickets – they cannot always be replaced. Removal of the stub will invalidate your ticket.

11. Customers may be refused admission if they are not in possession of a valid ticket. In the interests of fraud prevention, no tickets will be replaced, or ticket prices refunded if a ticket is forgotten, lost, stolen, defaced, damaged or destroyed.

12. Official WGC2022 ticket retailers offer a range of payment methods. Bookings made with Klarna payment plans are subject to Klarna terms and conditions, please be aware that late payment fees or interest may apply if payments are missed. WGC2022 accept no liability for agreements entered into with Klarna, please contact them directly to discuss payment for your order. 

13. All customers are offered the option to purchase ticket protection insurance, which is subject to the terms and conditions of the individual insurance retailer. WGC2022 accept no liability for agreements entered into with third party insurers, please contact the insurer directly to submit or discuss a claim.

14. Session times and the competition schedule are subject to change.

15. All tickets advise an entry point on the city side or river side of the Arena and WGC2022 staff and signage will be located in public access areas to help. Staff and signage will also be on hand to direct you to the WGC2022 fan zone, located in the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

16. Tickets and hospitality packages cannot be refunded unless a session is cancelled in its entirety - please check before travelling that a session has not been cancelled or rescheduled.

17. Customers who require a refund because they can no longer use their tickets or hospitality package are invited to contact their retailer, who can provide information about official WGC2022 ethical ticket resale platforms.

18. In the event a session is cancelled in its entirety, original tickets and hospitality packages will be valid for the alternative rescheduled session. Your official ticket retailer will contact you with information and details of how to apply for a refund if you are unable to attend the rescheduled session.

19. If a session is cancelled in its entirety with no rescheduled date, all customers will receive a full refund including ticket agent booking fees. Please note that ticket protection insurance is a separate agreement and subject to a non-refundable fee. Refunds will be automatically processed, please contact your official retailer if your payment card details have changed since you processed your booking.

20. In the instance that a session is partially cancelled, refunds will be issued at the discretion of WGC2022. Refunds for partially cancelled sessions cannot be guaranteed and no further costs or compensation will be offered in the instance of a partially cancelled session.

21. WGC2022 is committed to the safety of spectators and reserves the right to introduce appropriate measures as necessary. Such measures may include (but are not limited to):

a. Reducing the maximum number of spectators in attendance at any one session. In this instance, refunds will be processed in accordance with clause 19.

b. Introducing a timed entry process in which spectators are allocated a specified arrival window.

c. Undertaking appropriate security and screening checks on arrival.

22. WGC2022 reserve the right to seize or cancel tickets which we, in our reasonable opinion, believe to be subject to fraudulent use, resale or transfer outside of our authorised retailers (or attempted resale or transfer) without a refund or any other form of compensation.

23. These terms and conditions do not and shall not affect the Customers statutory rights as a consumer.

24. All tickets are purchased subject to the terms and conditions of the ticketing service provider, M&S Bank Arena Liverpool and ACC Liverpool, as well as being supplemented by the WGC2022 Spectator Regulations.
