How you can get involved in the WGC2022 volunteer programme

We are looking for up to 600 amazing volunteers to help us welcome the world to Liverpool in October.

Wondering how you can get involved in our volunteer programme?

There are five main departments in our volunteer programme:

1. Hospitality

During the championships, WGC2022 will provide a variety of hospitality packages for the general public, corporate clients, and VIPs. To provide the greatest level of customer service and delivery, hospitality hosts will coordinate with the Organising Committee (WGC2022), the venue, key stakeholders, and participants.

2. Sport

These roles oversee the planning, management and delivery of the World Gymnastics competition, as well as providing services to all Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) staff and technical officials that support the Sport competition. These roles also provide support with sporting goods, sports information, anti-doping, and athlete medical care.

3. Digital and Media

You will be providing a world-class service to credentialed journalists by overseeing the operations of important places such as the media centre, media tribunes, mixed zone, and photographer areas. These roles will assist the media team in covering the event and ensuring that the requirements of the participating teams and rights holders are met.

4. Event operations

Event Operations oversees the smooth operation of the entire event campus, including competition, training, warm-up, and everything in between. They'll make sure that all the necessary spaces, equipment, and facilities are in place for each client group. Volunteers in these positions will be responsible for greeting all client groups and employees, as well as providing general championship and venue information.

5. Commercial

Volunteers in these roles will support the Commercial team in delivering such activities which will vary by day, session and partner within the arena, including event sponsors, partners and official WGC2022 merchandise. The roles require a willing and enthusiastic approach to what is likely to be a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
